A long road from hand puppets to hardcovers.

Ian started telling stories young. Hand puppets, marionettes, a ventriloquist dummy, animated shorts, student comedy, then creating and writing animated series, then books.

He has written for and developed many popular children's series, including The Adventures of Paddington Bear, Will & Dewitt, Lunar Jim, and Rescue Heroes, and created his namesake show, Being Ian.

Ian is also one of the most recognizable voices in animation, including The Conductor on PBS's Dinosaur Train, Dad in Johnny Test, and Cheetor of Transformers / Beast Wars fame, plus promo voice work for Family Channel, PBS, Fox Kids, BestBuy, McDonald's and VISA.

A father of two, husband of one for nearly 30 years. He splits his time between Vancouver and Los Angeles, loves his family, great food, and one small vice: automobiles. His pride and joy is a fully electric converted 1966 Porsche.
